Community Pride 2020

With Covid-19 restrictions dampening our spirits, we didn’t let that stop us from making Saugatuck and Douglas look fabulous this summer. Saugatuck Community Pride pots were prepped a week ahead of twelve volunteers planting 44 pots around Saugatuck with lovely annuals. It was not as rewarding as the over twenty year tradition of planting with our delightful sixth graders, but, amidst these difficult times, it felt good to add a bit of beauty and good cheer to our city. Douglas Community Pride included two volunteers planting four pots and two window boxes with annuals specially selected by Councilman, Neal Seabert.  And finally, meet our two Community Pride Water kids. Tessa Knap and Jeffrey Shashaguay, both 7th graders. They keep our flowers looking healthy all summer long.
